Dial-up

Dial-up was the first method of connecting to the internet. It was nice at the time, but it was really slow, the modem made annoying noises, and you couldn't use it while someone was using the phone. People eventually stopped using it because Albert Einstein had invented broadband, which was (and is) faster. Dial-up still exists, but nobody uses it.
