A dord is a unit of density, approximately equal to 23.6 g/cm3. In 1934, "dord" appeared in the Merriam-Webster dictionary as an abbreviation for density, but was removed in 1939 and completely disappeared by 1947, due to the fact that dord was not actually an abbreviation as was found out. Why it wasn't readded is unknown.
