Super Mario 64 is a game for the Nontendo 46.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1993, while developing Star Fox, some guys at Nintendo got the idea to make a 3D Mario game called "Super Mario FX". However, the development was hell. In 1995, the team ported the game to the Nontendo 46. However, that same year, a random guy accidentally made every copy of Super Mario 64 personalized. This was quickly fixed, but there's a lot of footage of it on YouTube. In 1996, an intern at Nintendo accidentally hit the Release button in 0.5 A presses. The executives at Nintendo panicked. The game wasn't ready yet! Nintendo tried to stop it, but it was too late. Someone got fired that day. Anyway, Nintendo immediately went to work, polishing and polishing and polishing the game. And then they polished it some more. In 1997, it was ready. The complete version of Super Mario 64. The Shindou edition. They released it in Japan, and ... everyone hated it. They thought that Nintendo ruined a perfectly good game, which almost caused Nintendo to go bankrupt. When presented with a copy of the Shindou edition, the CEO of Nintendo of America burned it on sight, drank 37 gallons of DHMO, and jumped off a bridge and drowned. The Shindou edition was banned from Nintendo until 2020, when they needed it to complete Super Mario 3D All Stars, rather than re-code the Rumble Pak Support. Did I mention that the Shindou edition had Rumble-Pak functionality?
