Super Mario Maker is a video game made by Nintendo for the Wii Ü. The object of the game is to torture Mario by creating your own impossible levels and forcing him to go through them. The game almost managed to save the Wii Ü from the same fate as the Sega Saturn or the CD-i, and when the Nintendo Switch was released, they immediately made a sequel, called Super Mario Maker 2, with a multiplayer mode which also allows you to torture Luigi, Toad, and Toadette. Unfortunately, the torture was too much for Mario, who unfortunately committed suicide in his home on March 31, 2021. Nintendo owns his likeness, so he still appears in most of the games they make, kinda like Nintendo's memorial to their fallen mascot.
